MY AMAZIN 🤩 writing

Things that I do well in my writing are:

  • ACTUALLY doing capital letters and full stops

  • I’m good at spelling the words I put in my stories 

  • Using when what why who how

What I need to do better with is stop listing when I write or when I type and using punctuation.

I know that I have done a good job in my writing when 

My brain says I’m done and when I have no idea what to add and when other people can understand my writing.

my step length

We have been following the Olympics and learning about measuring different distances.

  1. My step/stride length is 41 cm 

  2. I take 14 steps to walk 10 metres 

  3. I would take 140 to walk 100 metres 

  4. When I ran for 10 seconds I ran to 7 cones or 70  metres. I need to run 30 more metres or  steps to get to 100 metres

This term I’ve been working on this poster representing being kind online.  I used Canva to make this.

I chose to add photos related to the theme and I thought was fun. 

 

Camp

⭐ Mānawatia a Matariki ⭐

I have learned about    Tupu a Rangi, the  star in the Matariki Cluster. It represents the star linked to food and growth above the ground.

I have learned about the Matariki Cluster. It is also known as   Subaru in Japan.

Matariki is a time to get together with family and friends to share stories, a meal together and reflect. I am thankful for  my  grandma  in my life still and me ( ovi ) and for having a twin  in my life.

With this blog I learned how to make the Matariki poster.

I enjoyed colouring in the background, clouds and etc.

Last but not least drawing the mountain was challenging.

Artful Waves!

Me and my friends watched a drawing video on YouTube on how to draw a red panda holding boba.  In the process of drawing I learned how to draw a red panda holding a boba.

I also enjoyed drawing by my friends and my twin.

Some of the drawings were a bit challenging but in the end I got there.

What’s the Time?🕜

  • One thing I learned was that the little hand represents the hour hand and the big hand represents the minute hand.
  • I really enjoyed knowing how to use a clock .
  • I found learning how to read a clock tricky.
